Orb Gaming was officially created on November 20, 2012. We started as a group of players dedicating ourselves to Guild Wars 2 WvW.
After some time the majority of us quit playing, and the guild generally took a break from MMO's. We had a good core of players that just enjoyed coming in and hanging out, and playing the latest steam game someone wanted to try. We even tested out SCARLET BLADE!!
Our players slowly started getting back into MMO's, we met some great people along the way. However it wasn't until the release of some new games that my goal for Orb Gaming became clear to me.It seemed like every single time a game would release some old friends would come by and say, "Hey we started playing that - we are on A server and X Faction." Another friend would come by saying, " I started on B Server and Y Faction." It was getting frusterating because if we would've just had a little pre-planning and communication before the game was released, we would've had a really solid guild to start the game with.
The Mission Began - We want to play games and have fun, it's a lot of fun playing with your friends and having good communication. Our goal is to recruit players who have the same mindset that we do.
Even if we aren't playing the same games right now, maybe one day we will.
One day the person you see playing a different game than you may become your best friend. You might decide one day to try out a different game, and 3 other people are trying out the same game. So you immediately have people to play with within the community. This is what we are about.
We expect Orb Gaming Members to use the Orb Gaming Teamspeak
Using the teamspeak is a step toward consistant communication. Without communication we are not going to remain a cohesive unit. People will stray from one another because when we are playing different games, it's sometimes hard to keep in touch. Logging into the same VOIP helps to alleviate that problem. We understand that sometimes you need to log into different VOIPs to do whatever you are trying to do, but that doesn't stop you from Idling within our teamspeak.
We expect you to respect Other Guild Leaders / Officers / Community Leaders
All of these leaders are in place for a reason. Just because a individual isn't your direct Guild Leader doesn't give you the right to ignore whatever they have to say.
